Mr. Rodrigues is working in the Directorate General of Fisheries, Aquaculture and Marine Resources as Senior Technical Official/ Senior Professional Background of Fishing Technique from Sekolah Tinggi Perikanan Jakarta, Indonesia. He joined Japan International Tuna Longline Fishing Vessel from 1992-1999 operating in the Pacific, North Atlantic and Indian Ocean. From 2000-2002 he worked as project manager for boat building project, he was head of Fishing Port and also National Project Coordinator for RFLP-FAO. In 2014 he received the STOP IUU-FISHING AWARD as first place winner for the success in implementing the Community-Based IUU Reporting System. Currently works as focal point for several international and regional organizations related to fisheries, such as INTERPOL Technical Working Group, IMCS Network, Lusophone Countries in Combating the IUU Fishing issue in Portuguese Speaking Countries, RPOA-IUU, Glolitter Partnership Project and many others. Last year, received an award of the Capstone Project on the Community-Based IUU Reporting System from the DKI-APCCSS.
