Coast Guard Lieutenant Commander LANA RITA LOYOLA YAP is a commissioned officer in the Philippine Coast Guard. Born in May 1986 in Quezon City, she graduated from University of Perpetual Help System-Laguna in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering and is a Registered Electronics Engineer. She joined the Philippine Coast Guard in 2011 as a commissioned officer. Throughout her career, she has held various positions of responsibility. She served as the Recruitment Officer of PCG before her present designation as the Assistant Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Human Resource Management. She took an active part in policy making involving personnel administration and organization structuring reforms of the PCG. She likewise performed numerous functions in different capacities, including maritime security, when designated as Commander of Coast Guard Station Cagayan in 2021.
