Maria Kristine Josefina G. Balmes currently serves as the Deputy Executive Director for Operations of the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW). Under her supervision the Operations cluster ensures the implementation of the Magna Carta of Women, especially in Peace and Security as one of the Commission’s priority sectors. She participates in engagements and activities conducted with key implementing agencies such as the Department of National Defense (DND), the Philippine National
Police (PNP), and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), as well as the review and updating of the National Action Plan on
Women, Peace and Security (NAPWPS.
