He is currently working as the Head of the Women, Peace, and Security Division of Social Healing and Peacebuilding Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace Reconciliation and Unity and is the Team Lead of the National Steering Committee on Women, Peace and Security’s Secretariat.
He also worked as a GAD consultant for Civil Defense/NDRRMC in 2015 as core advisor on the development of the Youth, Peace, and Security National Action Plan and its National Policy in 2022. As part of his work representing OPAPRU’s expertise on gender and WPS, he was able to contribute to some of the most critical initiatives on gender mainstreaming and provide trainings and capacity building assistance on the Development of the Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment Plan 2019-2025, ASEAN Workshop on Mainstreaming WPS, Women in Climate Change and DRRM, Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism Conducive to Terrorism and Strengthening Gender Mainstreaming of a Regional Network of PVE practitioners of South East Asia, Gender Assessment of Marawi’s Intervention, ADSOM and SOMTC-Gender Mainstreaming in the ASEAN Security Community (APSC), and Development of Philippine National Action Plan on Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism, and Gender Responsive Conflict Sensitive and Peace Promoting Approaches, among others; for both the Public and Private sector.
