This virtual meeting will discuss the progress of the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda in the Asia Pacific region. Despite the ongoing pandemic, the region has witnessed an increased interest in women’s meaningful participation in peacebuilding and conflict prevention, resolution, and post-conflict processes. Acknowledging this progress, this meeting is intended to encourage academics, researchers and policy makers of CSCAP member committees and other participants to identify challenges and opportunities in the adoption of National and Regional Action Plans on WPS and other related issues. The meeting will provide a venue for Study Group participants to appraise past and present work and share ideas about the future activities.
